02/2017 - Missing person, Jersey

The Channel Islands Air Search aircraft, call sign Air Search One, was called out by Jersey Police Service at 08.27 hrs on Tuesday 7th March 2017, to assist in the search for an elderly lady who was believed to have been missing for some days in the Devil's Hole area.

The aircraft took off at 09.20 hrs and proceeded to Jersey.

An Air Search Crew member said "On arrival in the search area, the service was tasked to search the shoreline and cliff areas between Plemont in the west and Rozel Bay in the east.  An intensive search was made of this area including bays and gullies but no trace could be found of the missing lady.  Search parties on the ground could be seen and the Fisheries Protection vessel Norman Le Brock was also assisting at sea.  The aircraft was stood down at 11.00 hrs."

The aircraft landed at Guernsey at 11.15 hrs, having been airborne for one hour and 55 minutes.
