Martin Bralsford qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 and obtained a masters degree at the London Business School in 1974. He is a Foundation Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He holds a number of Board appointments in public listed and private companies. Until 2007 he was CEO of CI Traders, having come to live in Jersey in 1992. He is a trustee of a number of Charitable Trusts and a former President/Chairman of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce, the Training and Employment Partnership and Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust of which he is a Life Trustee.

Peter Mourant retired as senior partner of Mourant du Feu & Jeune in 2000. His interests include travel and boating having owned various boats for over 50 years.
He has been involved in a number of charitable organisations. He is a past President of the Lions Club of Jersey, an Honorary Vice-President of the Jubilee Sailing Trust and a member of the Committee of the Jersey Blind Society.
He also serves as a Relief Magistrate and is a Procureur du Bien Public of the Parish of St Saviour.
Secretary (Guernsey): Sandra Hardill
Sandra spent her working life as a teacher in the UK and Guernsey. She is now actively involved with the Guernsey Voluntary Service and also a small charity concerned with carers, known as “Carers Coming Together.” Sandra acts as secretary to Forest Methodist Church where she is a member. For a number of years she was the treasurer, and now secretary, to the Guernsey branch of the Royal Commonwealth Society. She is now looking forward to working with the Trustees of the CIAS.

Ian Larby is a retired aircraft structural design engineer. Since retirement his main leisure activity has been boating. With John Torode, then President of the Guernsey Boat Owners Association, he set up the Friends of Air Search to support the Service. He was a founding trustee when Channel Islands Air Search was established as a charitable trust in 1984.
Apart from being the secretary to the Trustees, Ian’s main role within CIAS has been the design of the specialist search equipment installation in the CIAS aircraft.

Mike Quarrington is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. He was a partner in BDO Reads, Chartered Accountants in Guernsey, for 15 years and was subsequently managing director of MPR Asset Management (Guernsey) Ltd. He is now retired but holds a number of non-executive directorships.

John Fitzgerald was born and educated on Guernsey and has spent his professional life in the photographic industry. As well as being well known for his portrait photography, he also runs a busy professional laboratory, looking after the requirements of Channel Island and UK clients. He joined Air Search a little over 23 years ago and quickly took on the role of the FLIR trainer, a role he wants to continue with the new aircraft, but he is enjoying the team work involved with his position as Chief Officer.

Captain Brian Nibbs RD is a past Harbour Master of Jersey and a Younger Brother of Trinity House. He is President of the Jersey Sea Cadets, TS Jersey and also President of the Jersey Merchant Seaman’s Benefit Society Inc.
Brian has a keen interest in the maritime history of Jersey and St Helier Harbour in particular. When time allows, he enjoys golf and swimming.
Advocate Alan Binnington (Jersey)
Alan Binnington is a Jersey advocate and private client director at Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management. He is a former President of the National Trust for Jersey and the Law Society of Jersey. He is currently the President of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies. He has a private pilots licence (not current) and is a keen boater, having been a member of the RNLI and Friends of Air Search for many years.
Roger Dadd (Guernsey)
Roger Dadd founded Air Search in 1980 with the help of the original crew. He remained Chief Officer until his retirement in 2008 and has been a trustee since the Trust was created. He is a professionally qualified pilot in both Europe and the USA, and is a retired Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.
Julyan Gardener-Wheeler (Guernsey)
Julyan Gardener-Wheeler is now semi-retired after a career in civil aviation, travel and tourism. A former President of the Guernsey Friends of Air Search for eight years, he has been supporting the organisation for many years.
Peter Gill (Guernsey)
Peter Gill returned to Guernsey after a career at sea and ashore with a major oil company. He held senior posts in Brunei and South Africa. His final position was head of Port and Terminal projects with responsibility for skill pool, placements and career progression for Master Mariners. In 2005 he was appointed Harbourmaster at St Peter Port and Registrar of British Ships. This position also included responsibility for maritime search and rescue. He retired at the end of 2013.
He is currently the RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager in Guernsey.
John Lee (Guernsey)
John Lee, after soldiering, pursued a career in banking retiring as Area Manager of HSBC Guernsey. A keen sailor, he has been Commodore of the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club in Guernsey, Chairman of the Army Benevolent Fund and is a member of the RNLI Committee in Guernsey. John is a Church Warden at St Andrews Parish Church and sits on various States of Guernsey Tribunals.
Alan Richards (Guernsey)
Alan Richards is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He has been a supporter of Air Search for 25 years and is a former chairman of Guernsey Friends of Air Search. As a long distance sailor, he understands the value of the service provided by the aircraft and crew.
Peter Walpole (Guernsey)
Peter Walpole is non-executive chairman of several finance sector companies, including chairman of Insurance Corporation of the Channel Islands. He has been a member of several States' boards and charitable committees, including those of chairman of The Samaritans and founder director of Crimestoppers.
Mike Keirle (Jersey)
Mike Keirle is the Dean of Jersey. He was rector of St Martin's Parish Church in Guernsey from 2003 to 2017, when he moved to Jersey. During his time in Guernsey, he was a member of the Air Search crew, and we are delighted that he has become a trustee.
