Guernsey Friends of Air SearchStamp Appeal
Another easy way of assisting with our
fundraising efforts is by donating stamps to our Stamp Appeal.
This Appeal was set up in 1991 as part of the effort to raise money to buy our current Islander aircraft. It has continued ever since, and has raised several hundred pounds for Guernsey Friends of Air Search. We will accept any stamps - used or mint, UK or foreign - even certain types of trading stamps. In addition, we are now able to accept used/ mint telephone cards (those for use in public payphones). Please send any donations of stamps/ phonecards to the Appeal Co-ordinator,
David Hugo

Please clearly mark envelopes 'CIAS Stamp Appeal.' Your name/ contact details, whilst not essential, are helpful so we can keep you up to date with our progress. It helps if you are able to leave approx 1cm of envelope around stamp edges - even better if the edges are trimmed with scissors. If you have any queries about the Appeal, or would like us to collect a large quantity of stamps from you, please contact David Hugo on (01481) 241182. If you are a stamp collector and are interested in purchasing stamps from us, please let us know and we'll do our best to help. So, before you throw away your used stamps/ phonecards, please keep us in mind!
